Pipe Proofing
SIGRICARE Pipe Proofing and Pipe Roofing umbrella arch pre-support systems for tunneling portals, cavern excavations, and weak geological overburdens.
Pipe Proofing (Pipe Roofing Umbrella System)
The Pipe Proofing (Pipe Roofing Umbrella Arch) System is an advanced geotechnical pre-support solution designed to stabilize tunnel roofs, portals, and deep cavern excavations before excavation. Heavy-wall structural steel casing pipes (J80/M80 grade) are installed ahead of the tunnel face in an umbrella configuration, transferring overburden loads longitudinally to prevent crown collapse and surface subsidence.
Pipe Proofing & Ring Bit Combined (Concentric Pipe Roofing System)
The Integrated Pipe Proofing and Ring Bit System is an advanced geotechnical pre-support solution combining high-strength S355 structural steel casing pipes with precision-engineered Symmetrix concentric ring bit sets. By uniting the load-bearing umbrella arch casing with an integrated sacrificial ring bit and central pilot bit, the system advances heavy steel casings simultaneously through unpredictable boulders, gravel, fault zones, and fractured strata with zero ground loss, maximum borehole straightness, and 100% pilot bit retrieval.
Ring Bit (Symmetrix Concentric Drilling System)
The Ring Bit Set is an integrated ring bit and casing shoe component welded directly to the front of the starter pipe in the Symmetrix concentric overburden drilling system. Connected to the central pilot bit through a precision locking mechanism, the ring bit drills the required void to advance the casing pipe simultaneously through gravel, boulders, and fractured rock.
OVERVIEW: Pipe Proofing
The SIGRICARE Pipe Proofing (Pipe Roofing Umbrella Arch) system provides critical pre-excavation crown reinforcement for tunnels through faulted, fractured, or loose ground. Casing pipes are driven sequentially ahead of the tunnel face in an umbrella configuration using concentric Symmetrix drilling technology with integrated ring bit sets, effectively preventing ground loss and surface subsidence.
